Liquid Interiors is a Hong Kong-based interior design firm that specializes in sustainable and eco-conscious design. I have worked with them to photograph their client sites before, and this was an interesting project to turn the camera to founder Rowena Gonzales and her team.
Rowena intentionally chose to have the headshot portraits taken at Kowloon Park for its close location to their office, and for all the greenery we could use as a backdrop. She hoped to use the natural textures as a way to reflect the company’s style in interior design. To capture a fun and casual group photo, we strolled over to the nearby Mira Hotel’s outdoor bar Vibes for drinks, with its decor that matches the modern-design-mixing-with-nature theme.
Overall, we kept the photoshoot light-hearted for a non-traditional effect for the headshot portraits. While producing each individual portrait, it was nice to get to know each person individually, working with their different personalities to bring out their most relaxed, happy expressions.
