A Photographer’s Dream Come True
Having been a photographer for 10 years, it has been a dream of mine to have my own photo studio space to shoot. I’m excited that finally the dream has come true with workshop ten. It’s my new brand that encompasses multiple creative aspects as a photography studio, digital marketing consultancy, and event space.
Our space for workshop ten is inside an industrial building in Kennedy Town. Once you step through the door from the dim hallway, you’re transported to another world. My clients have already called the space so “calming”, “chill”, with a “positive energy”.
Multi-Purpose Space
With south-facing windows looking out to the lush greenery of Mount Davis, the lifestyle area has the most natural light in the space. With family portrait sessions we always end up at the large sofa for some relaxed, candid shots. Also, the large sofa, mid-century modern arm chairs and side chairs provide ample seating for group meetings. The textures and furniture serve as the perfect backdrop for lifestyle product photography.
Near the entrance, the kitchen area serves as a staging space for food photography, catered events, or culinary-related multimedia productions. The stainless steel counter tops make for a professional surface for food preparation. The look is softened by the wooden kitchen island with curvy counter stools.
Last but not least is the open area, used as the main photo studio and desk space. It fits full size (2.7m) paper backdrops, or for product photography, a large worktop table. It’s flexible with different configurations depending on the needs of the production.
In the short time that we’ve opened, we have used the space for:
- styled editorial shoots
- luxury jewels product shoots
- private yoga classes
- family portrait sessions
- personal branding & corporate headshot photoshoots
Get in Touch
Of course, the world is your oyster for creative uses of the space too.
It has been a challenge finding safe ways to enable community events and venue rentals during the COVID-19 pandemic. During this time, we’re keeping group sizes to a minimal with social distancing measures. Moreover, we require a health declaration form for all visitors to ensure the safety of all that come to the space.
There are plans in the works for collaborations, art exhibitions, and other activities at workshop ten, so stay tuned!
